Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has emphasized the national unity as need of the hour, in the aftermath of the false flag operation in India-occupied Kashmir.

The JI supremo expressed these views while addressing a press conference held at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI Karachi Headquarters, on Saturday. He was flanked by JI leaders, including Monem Zafar, Saifuddin Advocate, Taufiquddin Siddiqui, Raja Arif Sultan, MPA Farooq Farhan, Shoaib Ahmed and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman strongly condemned the United States vice president over his highly controversial and irresponsible comments in connection with the Pehalgam tragedy in occupied Kashmir. He demanded the central government to summon the US envoy over the comments that gave an impression, supporting the Indian version of the false flag operation.

On the occasion, he thanked Beijing for it’s unequivocal support to Pakistan over the issue. He further said that India was running away, instead of responding positively to the Pakistani demand for neutral investigation into the incident.

The JI leader also demanded Islamabad to mobilize the diplomatic front in connection with illegal, unilateral suspension of the Indus Treaty.

In the heat of the moment and rising tensions with India, the nation can’t neglect the humanitarian crises unfolded in Gaza as a result of the United States sponsored Israeli genocide, he said.

He strongly condemned the troika of the US, India and Israel for their crimes against humanity. He added that at one hand the US openly sponsored the genocide in Gaza, whereas it also supports India to destabilise the region.

He further said that after long marches in all the major cities of Pakistan and a historical strike for the cause of Palestine and Gaza, the JI is going to take out big Gaza solidarity marches in Abbotabad and Malakand on May 17 and 18 respectively.

In connection with the International Day for journalists, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman paid a rich tribute to the journalists fraternity in Gaza. He said that 211 journalists, including 28 women sacrificed their life in the line of their duty for revealing the true face of Israel.

He also condemned Israel for attacking Flotilla near Malta that was aimed to bring aid to Gaza.

The JI supremo vowed to continue the boycott of Israeli products and stressed the need to promote local products. He also highlighted the Mera Brand Pakistan initiative to promote the local brands against Israeli products.

Talking about the internal issues, he said that wounds of Balochistan were bleeding and needed to be cured. He also stressed the need to address the issue of missing persons. Balochistan was, is and will remain a part of Pakistan, he stressed, while saying that like the rest of the country, Balochistan observed complete strike and expressed solidarity with Gaza on April 26.

He shed light in detail on the issues of Karachi and held the lack of democracy and devolution of powers responsible for the miseries of Karachiites. He also stressed the need for a proper mechanism for distribution of water in the Sindh province.
