The diligent efforts of the Special Investment Council (SIC) have borne fruit as Pakistan’s first digital city is set to become a reality.

In a significant development, an agreement has been finalized between the Special Technology Zones Authority and the KPIT Board, paving the way for this groundbreaking initiative.
The agreement was signed by the STZA’s ED Zones, Amir Salimi, and the MD of the KPIT Board, Dr. Akif, in the presence of officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, STZA, and KPIT Board.
According to the terms of the agreement, the Pakistan Digital City will be established in Haripur at an estimated cost of eight billion rupees. Spanning over eleven acres of land, the digital city is scheduled to become operational by 2026.
With state-of-the-art technology infrastructure covering an impressive 480,000 square feet, the Pakistan Digital City aims to create over 4,000 high-tech job opportunities.
Furthermore, it is projected that the annual exports from the Pakistan Digital City will contribute significantly to the economy, ranging from three to five million dollars.
