Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir organized the annual business conference  here at a local hotel. The conference was chaired by President/Chief Executive Officer Khawar Saeed and attended by Branch Managers of 84 branches, Regional Heads, Regional Operational Managers and Divisional Heads. While delivering his thought provoking speech the President said that in 2019, this bank was fighting for its survival, but today, after only three years, it has become a 30 billion rupees bank and has joined the ranks of successful banks. Our business results are continuously improving. Over the past three years, the bank has recorded strong growth in its operating profit, assets, deposits and domestic remittances. In the first half of this year alone, this bank earned a profit of half a billion rupees. Its assets increased to 30 billion and deposits to 23 billion rupees. BAJK became the highest tax payer in the state by paying tax of Rs.50 crore to the Government. The main reason for this success is our staff. Their morale has been boosted by the excellent guidance. Customers’ trust and confidence in the bank has increased. Positive changes in business policy and improved strategy have made it easier to achieve all business goals. He said that due to being a state-owned bank and the emotional attachment of the people, further success of this bank can be ensured.   We all as a family, a team have to perform our responsibilities tirelessly to achieve this success . Our responsibilities have increased manifold.
Only a diligent banker can continue his journey of success.   President further said that this institution is playing a significant and unique role in the socio-economic development of the state according to its vision. He urged the managers to ensure a warm welcome to the esteemed customers in the branches. He thanked the Government, especially the Board of Directors, the business community, government and semi-government departments, private sector and all customers and overseas citizens for their trust and cooperation.
Earlier, the Divisional Heads gave a detailed review and suggestions on the role and importance of their respective divisions, current activities and future strategies to achieve the business goals. They congratulated President Khawar Saeed on receiving the Best CEO Award from CEO Club Pakistan and said that this is in fact honor for the entire state. They further said that by following the leadership skills of President and his vision, the institution is achieving record business results. On this occasion, top performing branch managers shared  key points of their success stories. They said that success and goals can be achieved in a short time by following important methods including continuous improvement in customer service and strong business relationships with customers. The participants applauded President/CEO Khawar Saeed’s leadership skills in a standing ovation. On this occasion, certificates of appreciation and cash prizes were distributed among the branch managers who achieved the best business goals and performed well in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Rawalkot and Kotli regions.
