Prime Minister Condemns Vicious Social Media Campaign against Army Chief

Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the vicious social media campaign targeting Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir. In a statement issued on Sunday, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his utmost disapproval of the attacks and termed them as a result of sinister plotting by elements with nefarious intentions.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the orchestrated campaign, driven by a malevolent mindset, aims to undermine the political and economic stability of the country. He drew attention to the fact that a similar propaganda was unleashed on the occasion of the Black Day on May 9, further emphasizing that the message behind such orchestrated, facilitative, and handlers-driven efforts is clear: Pakistan and its institutions will crush every conspiracy against them.
Prime Minister Sharif categorically denounced the reprehensible and malicious media campaign against the Army Chief and the armed forces. He stated that these actions reflect a conspiratorial mindset and represent a renewed attempt to undermine the political and economic stability of the nation. The Prime Minister further remarked that the new media campaign against the martyrs is part of the same sinister design.
The Prime Minister directed the relevant authorities to take legal actions against those involved in running the media campaign, both domestically and internationally. He asserted that the media campaign against the Army and its leadership does not fall under the umbrella of freedom of expression; rather, it is a blatant conspiracy that must be curtailed with full force. The nation will thwart this sinister plot just as it successfully foiled the conspiracy of civil war on May 9.
Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed his commitment to prevent disillusioned elements from creating chaos and despair in the country. He vowed to protect the nation from being plunged into a new crisis and urged the people to stand united with their armed forces and its leadership.
