PTCL Eidi scheme are pathetically useless

ISLAMABAD ( ABRAR MUSTAFA )
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has launched a prize scheme to collect dues from its consumers. Surprised at the objectives of this scheme, that PTCL consumer is already bound to pay his dues on time. If he does not pay his dues timely he will have to bear disconnection of PTCL services. Consequently, the consumer needing PTCL connection, obviously, will pay his dues on time. Hence any sort prize schemes are not going to work at all but are pathetically useless.
Supreme Court of Pakistan has clearly ordered regarding prize scheme that only such prize scheme are allowed trough which company aimed at growing its business and attract maximum consumers for it. In short scheme should for publicity purpose only. On the other hand due to the policies of PTCL authorities’ consumer pool of PTCL has reduced drastically. It is not a big deal to collect bill payment from existing consumers in comparison to expand the consumer net for which PTCL authorities’ dumping millions on advertisements prize schemes. Because in the Telecom market this scheme is being considered useless in expanding either financial gains or enlarging consumer pool for PTCL.

PTCL claims that this EIDI scheme has greatly affected the bill payment behaviors of its consumers and that the internet consumers are inclining toward PTCL services too. According to PTCL its services are covering 200 cities of Pakistan which is a demonstration of PTCL efficient services. But it should better be understand by the PTCL authorities that instead of launching such revenue collection alluring schemes they must focus on customer-centric approach. PTCL at its current position can not be a substitute of 3G internet or mobile internet provided by cellular service providers in Pakistan anyway. It will be result oriented policy to advance quality and efficiency of services which in turn become a real success on the part of PTCL
