CEO Huawei Mr. Aragon Ming calls on Ms. Anusha Rahman

The newly appointed CEO Huawei Mr. Aragon Ming called on the Minister for IT & Telecom Ms. Anusha Rahman here, in her office today. The outgoing CEO Mr. Simon Geng was also accompanying with him. They discussed issues pertaining the growth of Telecommunication Industry related infrastructure in Pakistan.

The CEO Huawei while sharing the performance of company, apprised the Minister that Huawei’s yester year business  in Pakistan has exceeded 100 billion US Dollars and now they are focusing on Pakistan’s enriched human resource capital and have recently signed an agreement with “Skills Development School System” and are jointly initiating “IT Certification Training Program”. These schools will impart sectors specific trainings to the young Pakistani IT graduates to equip them with the prevailing knowledge and techniques in accordance with ICT market requirements so that they could be adjusted in the industry adequately.

The Minister appreciated their initiative and said that our young human resource capital is our strength which is globally recognized and there is a need to provide guidance to our IT qualified youngsters and training them according to industry needs. It would be equally beneficial for providing employment opportunities, development of the industry and the economic growth of the country.

The Minister also appreciated the invaluable services rendered by the outgoing CEO Huawei Mr. Simon Geng for the development of ICT sector and industry.
