PSEB is directed to initiate an accreditation and International certification programme for well reputed IT companies.

Minister of State for IT Ms.Anusha Rahman has directed PSEB to initiate an accreditation and certification programme for well reputed IT companies to bring them in line with International standards. She was chairing 22nd Board of Directors meeting of PSEB here today. Federal Secretary IT Mr.Ahklaq Ahmad Tarar, MD-PSEB Mr.Amir Malik and Mr.Saleem Ghauri were also present there.

The Minister of IT reviewed the ongoing projects and directed MD-PSEB to make proposals for enhancing the existing capacity of PSEB and suggest measures to make it more vibrant and fruitful.

It was also decided in the board meeting that Ministry of IT and PSEB will participate in IT exhibitions to facilitate IT companies so that they would have an opportunity to market their products locally and internationally.

The Minister of State for IT has also directed MD-PSEB to make all necessary arrangements for early settlement of the land issue with the Punjab Government to acquire allocated land for the establishment of IT Park in Lahore, which is lying pending for past many years.

The board further directed by the Minister to expedite the process  of appointment of technical advisor through World Bank for the proposed Technology Park so that it could be established within the stipulated time period.

PSEB has a pivotal and key role to play in this era of technological advancement to make Pakistan as a leading destination for IT business for potential companies and foreign investors, Minister added.
