Mobile service suspend across Pakistan

The mobile phone services have been suspended across Pakistan as part of extraordinary security measures during the observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Tuesday.

The decision to this effect was taken in a bid to foil any untoward incident as various rallies, processions, gatherings will be held today countrywide.

According to sources, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority had directed concerned officials to restrict mobile phone on the behest of provincial governments.

In Karachi, the services will be unavailable between 07:00 AM and 10:00 PM, while in other parts of Sindh, mobile phones will remain silent from 07:0 AM to 09:00 PM.

More than 12 cities of Punjab have been declared sensitive where cellular services are likely to be blocked as well, The service will be closed till 10pm.

On the other hand the cellular networks have also been turned off for the whole day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The services will also remain down throughout Balochistan.

The Balochistan government has decided to suspend mobile phone services in Quetta as part of security arrangements for Eid Milad.

According to home secretary, the services would remain suspended from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm in the provincial capital on Tuesday.
