Pak along with Algeria & Somalia request an Emergency meeting of the UNSC in view of unprovoked illegal Israeli aggression against Qatar: Ishaq Dar

In view of the unprovoked illegal Israeli aggression against the brotherly State of Qatar, Pakistan, along with Algeria and Somalia, has requested an Emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, to discuss the situation and seize itself of this grave matter.

In a statement issued on X, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan expresses its complete solidarity and firm support with the Government and brotherly people of Qatar.

Meanwhile Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Wednesday on IT & Telecom Reforms.

The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary IT, DG SIFC, and representatives from other relevant departments.

Discussions focused on strengthening digital infrastructure, innovation, and building a business-friendly environment to attract investment and accelerate the growth of Pakistan’s digital economy.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar chaired a committee meeting on Wednesday to review existing laws and policies regarding tampered and confiscated vehicles.

A sub-committee was tasked with devising a comprehensive mechanism for their disposal. After detailed deliberations, the sub-committee unanimously finalized a Customs General Order (CGO), which was subsequently approved by the DPM.

The DPM/FM stressed the importance of this decision to streamline the disposal process of confiscated and tampered vehicles and to ensure greater transparency, enhance efficiency, and ensure optimal revenue generation from auction of confiscated vehicles.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Law and Justice, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, the Chairman FBR, and representatives of the Attorney General’s Office as well as the Ministry of Law and Justice.
