Islamabad ( Web News )
The World Economic Forum’s “New Economy and Societies Platform” country partner institute, Mishal Pakistan, has officially launched the Pakistan Reforms Report 2025. This report is the first of its kind, documenting over 120 key reforms implemented by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government since taking office in March 2024.
According to a press release issued on Sunday, the report provides a comprehensive analysis of the period from January 2024 to the end of January 2025, presenting data-driven details of policy and governance changes. This is the first time that the government’s reform agenda has been systematically documented in Pakistan.
Over the past 11 months, more than 120 reforms have been implemented across various sectors, including governance, economic policy, the legal framework, and institutional performance. This initiative will help provide an accurate and transparent record of policy changes, enabling policymakers, the business community, and international institutions to effectively observe and analyze Pakistan’s evolving governance model.
Unlike international reports that typically cover data only from January to May, this report presents an analysis of the entire year, offering a complete and fact-based review of governance, accountability, and inclusivity.
Launch of the Report
Speaking at the launch event, Mishal Pakistan CEO Aamir Jahangir stated that the Pakistan Reforms Report 2025 is an exceptional initiative designed to bridge the information gap in governance reforms. International analyses are generally based on limited data, whereas this report provides a comprehensive review of the broad reforms undertaken by Shehbaz Sharif’s government in Pakistan.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the report offers policymakers, businesses, and global institutions a complete, documented account of these reforms to better understand Pakistan’s evolving governmental structure.
