Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has postponed his visit to Russia in view of the recent regional and internal situation.
According to a press release issued by Media Wing of the Prime Minister Office in Islamabad, the visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Russia is of immense importance for the advancement of bilateral relations between the two countries. However, the visit has been postponed due to the prevailing circumstances.
The new dates for the visit will be decided after mutual consultation.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore on Sunday and briefed him on his recent visits to Italy and Poland.
Mohsin Naqvi gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister about four-nation Interior Ministers’ conference held in Rome, Italy, which was also attended by the Interior Ministers of Spain, Greece and the host Italy.
He also briefed the Prime Minister about six-nation Interior Ministers’ meeting held in Poland, which was also participated by the Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, and host Poland.
The Interior Minister informed the Prime Minister that participating countries of both the conferences agreed to expedite the issuance of legal work permits for Pakistani nationals. The member countries of the conferences lauded Pakistan’s performance for showing forty-seven percent decline in illegal travelling of the Pakistani nationals towards the European countries and human trafficking.
Mohsin Naqvi said both Poland and Italy would soon abolish visa condition for Pakistani diplomatic and official passport holders. He said a comprehensive plan would soon be presented to the European Union to enhance Pakistan’s immigration and border security capacity and capabilities.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of the Interior Minister. They also exchanged views on the country’s internal and overall situation.
Meanwhile Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has urged citizens not to take the law into their hands and record their protests peacefully.
In a video message on Sunday, Mohsin Naqvi said following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, every citizen of Pakistan is as saddened as the citizens of Iran.
He noted that today is a day of mourning for the Muslim Ummah, as well as the people of Iran and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Red Zone, Diplomatic Enclave and other areas to review the law and order situation in federal capital.
During his visit, he inspected the security arrangements and directed authorities to ensure foolproof security in the Diplomatic Enclave.
Mohsin Naqvi said peaceful protest is everyone’s right. However, any kind of anarchy under the guise of protest will absolutely not be allowed.
He directed that security arrangements must be complete and comprehensive in every respect.
The Interior Minister said the law will take its course against any disruption to daily life.
On this occasion, Inspector General Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi also briefed the Interior Minister on current law and order situation.
