U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed Pakistan’s concerns, saying that India was once again on the verge of imposing a war on Pakistan. Speaking at the White House alongside Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Trump said:
“I stopped eight major wars around the world, including the ceasefire between Pakistan and India. There was a war between Pakistan and India that was about to begin again, and I stopped it.”
Trump further said that Pakistan and India are now taking positive steps. He also expressed hope that the Russia–Ukraine war would soon come to an end, adding that he had not expected the conflict to last this long.
It is worth noting that after the meeting at the White House between President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, both sides held a joint press conference.
Speaking to the media, Trump welcomed Mohammed bin Salman, calling him an old friend, and said:
“Under my administration, America is progressing. The Biden administration was incompetent. We brought inflation down to the lowest levels and reduced petroleum and gas prices. Saudi Arabia has pledged investments worth 600 billion dollars.”
President Trump said that he welcomes the Saudi Crown Prince’s announcement of increasing investment to as much as one trillion dollars. He reiterated during the joint press conference that the U.S. was beginning a new phase of economic growth.
Trump said:
“A year ago there was no investment coming into America, but now the U.S. is starting fresh. We are working on approval for advanced chips for Saudi Arabia and looking for new oil reserves.”
He added that on global issues, the United States and Saudi Arabia hold similar positions. Trump also claimed:
“America did an excellent job in eliminating Iran’s nuclear capability—something no one else could have done.”
On the other hand, speaking to the media, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said:
“We will further strengthen investment ties with the United States. We are not creating fake opportunities to please America or President Trump—these are real opportunities.”
He said that President Trump’s efforts towards global peace were exemplary, and he played a significant role in establishing stability in the Middle East. He added that Trump was also taking positive steps for economic development.
The Crown Prince stated that Saudi Arabia seeks to expand opportunities through artificial intelligence, adding:
“Saudi Arabia requires massive computing power for AI, and the agreement with the United States will provide real opportunities to fulfill these needs.”
Mohammed bin Salman added:
“Before joining the Abraham Accords, it is essential to ensure a pathway toward a two-state solution. We want to become part of the Abraham Accords and will make every effort concerning the Iran deal. We desire peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.”
