Agreement was signed between ICT and PLRA for the introduction of E-Stamp Paper system

In line with the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a ceremony was held at the CDA Headquarters where an agreement was signed between the ICT Administration and the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) for the introduction of the E-Stamp Paper system. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, Director ICT Rabia Aurangzeb, along with officers from the Punjab Land Records Authority and relevant officers from the ICT and CDA.

According to the details, an agreement was signed between the ICT and the Punjab Land Records Authority. Under this agreement, in line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the E-Stamp Paper system will soon be introduced in Islamabad alongside the digitization of ICT’s land records.

It is important to note that these steps have been taken to digitize the ICT’s land records on modern lines and to solve the problems faced by the public regarding the transfer, mutation and sale/purchase of their properties.

In this connection, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said that the implementation of the E-Stamp Paper system will help resolve public difficulties and issues, and improve public service delivery. In this regard, all available resources are being utilized and public service delivery is being further improved through the use of modern technology and digitization process.
