Palestinian children’s starvation stain on UN conscience: Hafiz Naeem
Says Zionist forces’ brutality has become one of the darkest chapters in human history

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has condemned the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, declaring that images of starving Palestinian children circulating on social media are a damning indictment of the United States, the United Nations, and the so-called “civilized” world.
In a post shared on social media platform X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman highlighted the plight of 18-month-old Mohammad Zakariya, a malnourished child from Gaza, stating: “This image is a stain on the conscience of the US and the UN. It reflects the failure of international law and the silence of a hypocritical world order.”
He said over 2.1 million people in Gaza are facing acute hunger, with many dying from starvation, while Israel shamelessly touts this tragedy as a “victory.” He further added that the Zionist forces’ brutality has become one of the darkest chapters in human history. Indiscriminate bombings continue to rain fire and explosives on mosques, hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, claiming the lives of over 60,000 Palestinians — a significant number of whom are women and children. Thousands remain injured or trapped beneath rubble.
Haifz Naeemur Rehman criticized Israel’s ongoing blockade, which has cut off food, medicine, and even clean drinking water to the people of Gaza. He also lambasted US political support, stating, “These crimes have full backing from Trump, yet Pakistan’s rulers disgracefully nominated him for a Nobel Prize.”
He urged the leaders of the Muslim world, especially those in Arab States and Pakistan, to wake from their slumber and take a firm stand on Gaza, in line with the sentiments of the Ummah.
