Hafiz Naeem informs British HC about JI policies regarding Palestine, Kashmir & others issues

British High Commissioner Jane Marriott met with Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeem-ur- Rehman on Friday morning at the party’s central office in Islamabad.
During the meeting, which lasted for over an hour, the JI Emir briefed the High Commissioner on the party’s positions and policies regarding a range of regional and international issues. He emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the provision of unhindered humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian population.
Hafiz Naeem-ur- Rehman stressed the importance of a just and lasting resolution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions. He discussed the significance of stable Pakistan-Afghanistan relations for regional peace and highlighted Jamaat-e-Islami’s stance on Pakistan’s ongoing political and economic challenges.
The JI Emir further conveyed that Pakistan reserves the right to defend itself in the face of India’s water aggression, referring to concerns about upstream water control.
The meeting was attended by JI Pakistan Director of Foreign Affairs Asif Luqman Qazi.
