President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and does not harbour aggressive design against any country. However, let there be no doubt: Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or its core national interests. Any aggression against our homeland will be met with full force, he said.

This was stated by President Asif Ali Zardari in his message on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day being observed tomorrow (Friday) to observe the victory against India.

President Asif Ali Zardari said that it is a great moment for us to celebrate the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos in response to Indian unprovoked aggression. “I am grateful to Almighty Allah for blessing us with victory in this critical hour. I pay tribute to the valiant soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the entire military leadership, especially the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, and the Chief of Naval Staff. This victory not only belongs to Pakistan’s Armed Forces but also to the entire Pakistani nation, who stood like Bunyan-um-Marsoos against the enemy aggression” President Asif Ali Zardari said.

”I am proud of our Armed forces who responded to Indian provocation with precision, professionalism, and strength. I am glad that the world witnessed and acknowledged Pakistan’s patience and restraint as well as the operational effectiveness that compelled the enemy to cease its aggression. We stood firm. We stood united. And we emerged victorious with dignity” President Asif Ali Zardari said.

We seek peace in our region. Our commitment to regional peace and stability must never be mistaken for weakness. We reject any unilateral suspension of the Indus Water Treaty as there is no such provision in the Treaty. Pakistan will utilize all elements of national power to protect its water rights at all costs” President Asif Ali Zardari said.

“To our brave soldiers—those who stood their ground, who risked and sacrificed their lives—we offer them our eternal gratitude” he said. Asif Ali Zardari said “as President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, I affirm today that we will always stand shoulder to shoulder with our armed forces, and we will always remain like a solid rock to defend every inch of our motherland. Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Minister of Defence, Minister of Planning & Development, Minister of Information, Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M) and the Chief of the Naval Staff, visited the Pakistan Air Force’s operational base at Kamra on Thursday.

According to the statement issued by the ISPR, during the visit, the Prime Minister received a comprehensive briefing on the operational preparedness and combat capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force. He engaged with frontline personnel—including pilots, engineers, and technical staff and conveyed profound appreciation for their professionalism, precision, and steadfast dedication to national defence.

Addressing the occasion, the Prime Minister stated: “In the wake of unprovoked aggression, Pakistan’s Armed Forces exhibited exemplary restraint, strategic foresight, and operational precision. Their swift and calibrated response not only neutralized the threat but also delivered a decisive blow to hostile military infrastructure—unequivocally reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

He further remarked: “The entire nation takes immense pride in the valour and vigilance of its Armed Forces. Under the capable stewardship of the Chief of Army Staff, our defenders have once again underscored that Pakistan’s security is inviolable, and any act of belligerence will be met with a forceful, resolute, and unforgiving response.”

Highlighting the Pakistan Air Force’s operational success, the Prime Minister added: “Confirmation of successful downing of a sixth Indian aircraft on the night of 6/ 7 May, a Mirage-2000 near Pampore east of Srinagar, is further a testament to the PAF’s combat excellence and the unflinching resolve of our Armed Forces to protect the motherland at all costs.”

He lauded the visionary leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, acknowledging his pivotal role in modernizing the PAF and spearheading the seamless integration of advanced technologies that have significantly enhanced the Force’s operational capabilities.

In a tribute to the airmen, the Prime Minister observed: “To our fearless pilots and dedicated air personnel—your courage and precision embody the indomitable spirit of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. You have stood resolute, upholding the sanctity of our skies and defending the sovereignty of our country with unwavering resolve.”

Reaffirming the government’s and nation’s collective determination, the Prime Minister concluded: “Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain fully prepared and resolutely committed to defending every inch of our territory. Any aggression will be countered with a timely, proportionate, and decisive response. We stand united, vigilant, and unshakable for the defence of our homeland.”

He applauded the Army Chief, the Air Chief and Naval Chief for leading from the front. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the Army Chief for leading the entire war with an exemplary tri-service synergy among Army, Air Force and Navy.

He especially appreciated the Air Chief for the latest technological advancements in the Air Force.

The Prime Minister vowed that the nation will never forget the sacrifices of those martyred during this unprovoked aggression of enemy.

He said we will uphold the dignity of our martyrs’ sacrifices and will build a prosperous and great country.

Directing his address to India, the Prime Minister said while India’s war-fever is over, we are ready to talk with it for peace.

He said let us remind India of the conditions for peace foremost among which is ensuring right to self-determination for Kashmiri people in accordance with UNSC resolutions.

The Prime Minister said India mocked itself globally by unjustifiably blaming Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident, while there are irrefutable evidences of India’s involvement in terrorist activities inside Pakistan.

Upon arrival, the Prime Minister was received by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M).
