Says Pakistan rejects any intention or action that may endanger civilian population in Indian Punjab

DG ISPR Lt. Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says armed forces of Pakistan are on the highest level of alert

ISLAMABAD  (   WEB  NEWS   )

Deputy Prime Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan reserves the right to respond to India at a time, place and manner of its choosing, in view of the grave and unlawful Indian aggression of violating Pakistani airspace.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar while addressing a joint news briefing alongside Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry in Islamabad on Thursday.

The Deputy Prime Minister said despite repeated provocations, Pakistan being a responsible state has so far exercised strategic restraint, acted with maturity and limited its response strictly to self defence, in accordance with the international law and the UN Charter.

Ishaq Dar said India today launched a highly provocative and dangerously escalated attack, firing four projectiles targeting Pakistani territory.

Giving details, he said three projectiles were immediately dropped at Amritsar while the fourth that entered Pak airspace was neutralized by Pakistan’s Air defence System and its debris fell in Dinga town inside Pakistan.

He emphasized that the deep-rooted and centuries old cultural affinity between Pakistan and the Sikhs of the Indian Punjab is well known along with the long history of communal persecution of both at the hands of extremist Hindutva majority. He added that Pakistan rejects any intention or action that may endanger civilian population in Indian Punjab.

Ishaq Dar said this Indian act appears to be a design to falsely implicate Pakistan for targeting Indian civilians and incite anti-Pakistan sentiments among the Punjabi Sikh population to conveniently externalize the rising communal tensions within India.

He said Pakistan deeply sympathizes with the Indian Sikh population as their lives were in danger by India’s malicious use of projectiles to achieve sinister political ends.

The Deputy Prime Minister said Pakistan remains firmly committed to safeguard innocent lives and regional harmony unlike India’s divisive policies.

Briefing the media on the latest act of Indian aggression, ISPR Director General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said Pakistan has successfully neutralized 29 drones so far. He assured that any airborne object approaching Pakistan is closely monitored and will be taken down accordingly.

He said India should refrain from creating war hysteria for domestic political purposes. He also condemned the targeting of religious sites, revealing that one of the drones was directed toward Nankana Sahib, a holy place for Sikhs, a move he described as abhorrent and unacceptable.

He further assured that Pakistan will respond at a time and place of its choosing, emphasizing that the world will witness Pakistan’s retaliation. He said the armed forces of Pakistan are on the highest level of alert.

During the briefing, the debris of neutralized Indian drones was displayed for the media.

Pakistan Armed Forces Shoot Down 25 Israeli-Made Harop Drones.

According to details, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces have so far shot down 25 Israeli-manufactured Harop drones. These drones were brought down using both soft and hard kill techniques.

ISPR stated that in India’s cowardly attack on May 6 and 7, five advanced aircraft, drones, and multiple posts were destroyed. India, in a state of panic, is attacking Pakistan with Israeli-made Harop drones. These cowardly attacks are a clear sign of India’s confusion and desperation.

The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army said that India has suffered heavy losses along the Line of Control (LoC), and continues to incur damage. Debris from Israeli-made Harop drones is being collected from various areas of Pakistan. The Pakistan Armed Forces are giving a befitting response to the enemy and foiling all its nefarious designs.

Earlier, the Director General of ISPR stated during a press conference that India once again attempted an incursion during the night of May 7 and 8, during which 12 Indian drones were shot down.

He mentioned that drone attacks were carried out in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, and Karachi. In Sindh’s Miano area, one person was martyred and another injured in a drone attack, while in Lahore’s Walton area, four Pakistan Army personnel were injured and military installations suffered minor damage.

The DG ISPR said that sending drones by India is blatant aggression. India has targeted mosques and civilians. “As the situation develops, I will continue to keep you informed,” he added.

The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army said that India’s nighttime aggression is extremely serious, but Pakistan knows well how to deal with all kinds of aggression and madness. “We are fully capable and committed to teaching a lesson to those displaying such madness,” he said.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the international community is watching as India endangers the peace of the entire region and the world. “It seems India is on the verge of losing all sense and reason. India had to suffer humiliation before as well, during which five of its aircraft were shot down.”

The DG ISPR further said that India suffered heavy human and material losses at the LoC. The process of sending drones from India continues, and the Pakistan Armed Forces are disabling each and every one of them.

Indian Claim of Pakistani Strikes on 15 Sites Is a Pack of Lies

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that India’s claim of Pakistani attacks on 15 locations is completely false. “If Pakistan attacks, the whole world will see it, and the impact will be heard loud and clear,” he said.

In a press conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, the DG ISPR said that in Amritsar, the Indian army targeted its own installations. Projectiles were fired from Adampur by India itself.

He added, “India’s accusation of attacks on 15 locations is laughable. They say Pakistan fired missiles, but where those missiles landed, there was only dry grass — they could have at least set it on fire.”

He further questioned, “When will India come out of its cinematic fantasy world and enter the real world?” Pakistan is monitoring everything coming from India, and forensic analysis is being carried out on the downed Indian drones.

The DG ISPR stated that today a total of 29 Indian drones were shot down, only one of which managed to hit its target, causing minor damage to some equipment. In the drone attacks, three innocent civilians were martyred and four soldiers were injured.
