An autonomous status to the former Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA A new agency has been established under the name National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency

Islamabad   (  Web  News  )

In view of the growing threat of cybercrime, the Government of Pakistan has granted autonomous status to the former Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA. According to the FIA spokesperson, a new agency has been established under the name National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). This agency has been granted full authority to prevent, investigate, and take action against cybercrimes across the country.

The agency will take effective measures against online fraud, harassment, digital blackmailing, fake websites, identity theft, social media crimes, and other cyber activities. According to the spokesperson, the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing has been dissolved, and all matters related to cybercrime have now been assigned to the NCCIA. From now on, the public must contact the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency instead of the FIA for the investigation and complaints of cybercrimes.

The spokesperson also requested that if anyone has complaints or information about any kind of cybercrime or suspicious online activity, they should immediately contact the NCCIA via its helpline numbers or email. It should be noted that the FIA is no longer involved in cybercrime investigations or complaints. For guidance and assistance regarding cybercrime-related complaints, please visit the nearest NCCIA circle.
