PM Shehbaz welcomes 23% increase in IT exports taking the tally to $2.828 biln in the first nine months of current fiscal year

Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed a 23 percent increase in IT exports taking the tally to 2.828 billion dollar in the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

In a statement issued on Friday, PM Shehbaz Sharif said timely and immediate provision of facilities to the IT sector by the government has resulted in a 23 percent increase in exports as compared to the previous year.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that IT entrepreneurs, while taking benefits from government policies, expanded their services to new markets alongside traditional ones.

He credited the increase in IT exports to the relentless efforts of the government team.

The Prime Minister said the government is striving to increase the number of Pakistani experts providing IT services abroad and boosting IT exports.

PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that steps are being taken to provide professional training for the development of the IT sector and the growth of exports.
