JIT summons Aleema Khan, 16 others again over allegations of negative propaganda on social media

The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has summoned Aleema Khan and 16 others again over allegations of negative propaganda on social media.
They are required to appear today (Friday) for further questioning. Notable names on the list include Syed Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Hammad Azhar, Senator Aun Abbas Bappi, Azhar Mishwani, and Zulfi Bukhari.
Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, had already appeared before the JIT on March 19.
The JIT, formed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, is digging deep into the case, leaving no stone unturned.
The federal government has tasked Islamabad Police’s Inspector General with heading the probe.
Authorities are determined to take stern action against the individuals involved in misleading the online campaign.
