IIUI HOLDS FLAG-HOISTING CEREMONY ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Monday held a flag hoisting ceremony at New Campus of the university in connection with Independence Day celebrations, where President IIUI,  Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi  and Sector Commander Panjnad Rangers, Islamabad, Brig. Shehryar Farouq Lodhi hoisted the Pakistani flag.

An organized squad of university guards was also present in the ceremony. Dr. Hathal Homoud said on the occasion that Pakistan came into existence due to prudent thoughts and untiring efforts of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and great thinker Allama Muhammad Iqbal. He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have an immortal friendship and bilateral ties between the brethren countries are heart to heart. He maintained that unity and prosperity of Pakistan was unity and prosperity of Muslim world. President IIUI urged for Muslim unity and said that it was a need of hour. He stressed upon the educational institutions to nurture youth in best manner while inculcating thoughts in their Muslim young minds that they are the real hope of the Muslim world.

Later, in the meeting with Brig. Shehryar Farouq at new campus in the President office, the H.E. Dr. Hathal  Homoud apprised him of the university’s vision and newly established strategic plan. He also told about the recent achievements of university in world rankings. The IIUI President also apprised him of the initiatives to end the polarization and maintaining peace on campus which was appreciated by Brig. Shehryar Farouq Lodhi
