Pakistan will remain stuck in the quagmire by accepting conditions of International Monetary Fund: Imran Khan

Former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan warned on Wednesday that the inflation will spiral out of control in the country after passage of mini-budget.
Addressing the nation through video link on Wednesday, Imran Khan said that Pakistan will remain stuck in the quagmire by accepting the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The PTI chairman said that the only solution to the country’s problems is free and transparent elections. He said that the incumbent government was violating the constitution as it was responsible to hold elections within 90 days of assembly dissolution. “We sacrificed our provincial governments for general elections,” he said, warning of default if elections are not held on time.
Imran Khan went on to say that the rulers are afraid that a government with public mandate will come into power, adding that they were trying to arrest and disqualify him. He also warned to move court if the government violates constitution.
Meanwhile Imran Khan had said the other day that he will announce ‘Jail Bharo Tehreek’ in few days. In an address via video link, Khan lashed out at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, claiming, “Nawaz wanted to debar me from politics and send to jail.” “These people were only concerned with saving their money and were afraid the PTI would come to power,” he said. The society suffers as a result of torture on those with less power, he added.
Citing the example of the developed countries, Imran Khan said, “In the developed countries, there is a supremacy of law.” In response to the LHC’s decision to hold elections in Punjab within 90 days, Khan praised the judiciary, saying the PTI had high expectations of the judiciary.
He feared the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would mount pressure on the judiciary. “The masses were looking up to the judiciary to protect the Constitution; he said and recalled his call for snap elections to get the country out of its quagmire. He referred to former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa as “the super king,” saying he “used to take all the decisions by himself.” “The former army chief said that the United States is not happy with me,” he added.
Speaking about the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Khan said, “The country will face negative consequences due to the agreement with the IMF.”
