ICCI signs MoU with Waqas International for 1st International Housing Expo The Expo would be organized as a joint venture of the Ministry of Housing & Works and ICCI.

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with M/s. Waqas International, Islamabad as an event management company for organizing the 1st International Housing Expo 22 at Convention Centre, Islamabad from December 8-11, 2022. The Expo would be organized as a joint venture of the Ministry of Housing & Works and ICCI. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Muhammad Waqas Khan, CEO, Waqas International signed the MoU during a ceremony held at ICCI.

As an Event Management Company, M/s. Waqas International will be responsible to handle all jobs of the Expo including complete management and operation and booking of stalls from the exhibitors for the Expo.

Speaking at the occasion, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that being the 7th populist country in the world, Pakistan is facing an issue of rising housing shortage. He said that the purpose of organizing the International Housing Expo is to provide a suitable platform to the local and international exhibitors, stimulate the business & economic activities and provide affordable housing options to the people. He hoped that the cooperation of M/s. Waqas International would be helpful in organizing the Expo in a successful manner.

Muhammad Waqas Khan, CEO, Waqas International thanked ICCI for assigning them the role of event management company for the International Housing Expo and assured that they would make all possible efforts to make this Expo a landmark event for Ministry of Housing & Works and ICCI.

Faad Waheed Senior Vice President, Engr. Muhammad Azhar ul Islam Zafar Vice President ICCI, Sheikh Amir Waheed Convener, ICCI Expo Committee, Muhammad Shakeel Munir former President ICCI, Ch. Muhammad Masud, Muhammad Naveed Malik and others were also present at the occasion.
