Says PTI enjoys the confidence of the people

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Pakistan desires to have strong ties with all countries including the United States.

He was talking to Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to the United States Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan, who called on him in Islamabad on Monday. The Prime Minister said Pakistan-US relations are based on partnership and shared goals.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed Ambassador Sardar Masood Khan to work for further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.  He said connectivity of Pakistani diaspora is one of the top most priorities of the Government and the United States is home to a very vibrant Pakistani community which acts as a bridge between the two countries.

PM Imran Khan also directed the Ambassador-designate to work towards further strengthening Pakistan-US relations particularly for enhancement of trade, investment and public diplomacy. He emphasized on correctly projecting Pakistan’s Foreign policy priorities.

Prime Minister Imran Khan wished Ambassador Masood Khan success for his new assignment.

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi was also present during the meeting.

It is pertinent to mention that Ambassador Masood Khan is an experienced diplomat and has previously served as Ambassador of Pakistan to China and Permanent Representative to United Nations.  He has also previously served in Washington DC.

Meanwhile Members of National Assembly have reposed their complete trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Parliamentarians, who called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday, include Sher Akbar Khan, Saleem Rehman, Zille Huma, Chaudhry Amir Sultan Cheema, Malik Umar Aslam Khan, Usman Khan Tarakai, Arbab Amir Ayub, Imran Khattak, Javed Iqbal Warraich, Abdul Majeed Khan Niazi, and Niaz Ahmed Jakhar. Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Malik Amir Dogar was also present on the occasion.

Interacting with MNAs, the Prime Minister said that the PTI Government has taken revolutionary steps for the welfare of the common people. He said interest free loans are being provided to youth, women, the poor and the middle class under Kamyab Pakistan Program provides. He said discounted rations, scholarships, emergency cash, maternal and child development, shelters and women’s centers have been set up under the Ehsas program.

Imran Khan said the government is giving huge subsidies on petrol and diesel prices, despite growing prices in the international market.

Talking about the prevailing political situation in the country, the Prime Minister said PTI enjoys the confidence of the people. He urged the lawmakers to intensify their contacts with the people to resolve their issues immediately
