Central Depository Company has successfully crossed the important milestone in the payment method in the country by successfully processing the cash dividend of Pak Datacom Limited through SBP’s direct payment gateway. It is a great pleasure for both CDC and Pak Datacom Limited to have the honor of using the new and fastest payment gateway Direct for the first time in Pakistan. It should be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan had inaugurated Rast on January 11. CDC and State Bank of Pakistan have been working on this project for the last one year. CDC is now directly linked to all major banks and all dividend payments will be processed more efficiently. On the occasion, CDC Chief Executive Officer Badi-ud-Din Akbar said that it is indeed a significant achievement that Rast has been launched and operational with CDC for all dividend payments. This approach will significantly improve the performance of our operations in terms of transparency, security, efficiency and cost reduction. We are confident that with direct help, Pakistan’s payments scenario will change completely
