Intel has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ascending Technologies, a drone company based in Krailling, Germany, with the aim of developing new products for its chips. No financial details were disclosed.
Intel New Technology Group GM Josh Walden said the company will work with Intel teams to make its drone fly with more awareness off their environment and avoid obstacles and collisions.
Ascending Technologies already uses Intel’s RealSense technology to add depth-sensing capabilities to its flying machines.
