PTA Hold Workshop on Internet of Things

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA ) arranged an awareness session on Internet of Things (IOT) here at PTA Headquarters. Chairman PTA. Dr. syed Ismail Shah, Member (Finance) Tariq Sultan, Member (compliance & Enforcement) Abdul Samad, senior officers of PTA, officials from telecom sector and members of academia attend the session.
Mr Shoaib Akmal gave a detailed presentation to the participants on IOT. He also introduced the participants about IOT components. Devices and Sensors. Networks. Cloud Computing and IOT Applications.
Mr Shoiab Akmal is a telecom industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience working in the wireless industry in the United States. He has conducted numerous training sessions and seminars on various 3G, 4G wireless topics. He has trained and mentored beginner level engineers as well as top level technical managers for tier wireless operator in the US.
It may be added that, Internet of Things (IOT) is the new world order connecting billions of devices together. These devices capable of sensing, communicating and decision making are expected to make human life easier and more efficient.
IOT will have a profound effect on everything from electronic sensors to cloud computing and from wireless networks to application development. This workshop introduced the attendees to various IOT concepts and its components.
