ISLAMABAD ( ABRAR MUSTAFA )
All sets for road show organizing by Nokia in ISLAMABAD on Tuesday with the goal to exhibit the latest innovations from Mobile World Congress 2015. 5G, evolution to ultra-dense network, telco cloud, big data and analytics are some of the areas that Nokia will be exploring. Nokia also provide an overview of its partners and solutions.
Ms. Anusha Rahman Khan, Minister IT & Telecom (as the Chief Guest) and Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, Chairman – PTA (as the Guest of Honour) will address the event along with Nokia’s top management from abroad. The event will continue till after launch.
Mobile Guard Security
As mobile networks and devices are increasingly targeted, we showcase live threat scenarios for smart phones and the Internet of Things. Mobile Guard, our network-based malware detection system uses an analytics engine to search for malware traffic patterns and mitigate security breaches.
5G end to end use cases
Nokia showcases how 5G technologies work together to support the extreme requirements of new applications for ultra-high data rates and almost infinite capacity. Use cases include ultra-reliable, low latency communications to enable self-driving vehicles and connectivity for a huge number of sensors.
Our demo cover Throughput Guidance, which enables a completely new way of optimizing the mobile video experience in a cooperative model between operators and content providers. We also showcase Device Caching, which makes it possible to distribute content to mobile devices efficiently.
The focus of this demo is on the e2e services operated in the cloud. We showcase how Nokia Cloud Network Director configures and deploys new network services (e.g: EPC, VoLTE), integrating them automatically into the network. Our new Nokia Cloud Security Director enables the operator to manage the entire lifecycle of virtualized security services.
Nokia will demonstrate a 3.5Hz 8-pipe radio, an industry first.
HetNet solutions: Flexi Zone
The demo showcases the continuous innovation of Flexi Zone for very high capacity HetNet, Indoor & evolution to ultra dense networks at lower cost per bit. Our demonstration of Services for HetNets features 3D geo-location, small cell site design and deployment, and multi-layer optimization services, highlights Nokia’s consultative approach to finding the best solutions to urban congestion. We also show automated configuration or optimization of small cells (possibly as part of the HetNet) by implementing a new small cell into an existing network and/or by re-optimization due to change in conditions.
Big Data & Analytics
Our demos in this area cover OTT Analytics, which shows operators how OTT applications are performing in their network, and Dynamic Experience Management to optimize experience down to the application stream and subscriber level. We also show how predictive marketing can be used to anticipate and respond to customer needs based on their network and service usage, behavior and experience. Our demo of the Nokia Emergency Alert Solution shows how we enable operators to work with public safety agencies to alert subscribers to local emergencies.
