Microsoft’s Forum enlightens financial leaders in Karachi.

In continuation of its insightful series of events, Microsoft in collaboration with the Institute of Bankers Pakistan organized a “Big Data Forum” for finance executives in Karachi. The Microsoft specialized  speakers at the forum highlighted the new ways enterprises can use technology to convert data into insight, enhance business performance in today’s fast-evolving economic environment and create data-driven enterprises leading towards robust growth in the financial sector.

This was a pioneering initiative by Microsoft Pakistan, to support and equip the financial sector with revolutionary technologies. It helped them analyze industry-specific scenarios, where Big Data technology like; HDInsight, Azure ML, Azure Stream Analytics, etc. have delivered great benefits for the enterprises.

Country Enterprise Lead at Microsoft Pakistan – Mr. Abid Zaidi stated that; “It is promising to see that the leaders of corporate finance and other professional sectors in Pakistan have a good understanding of how the new and powerful Data-Analytics technology can help their enterprises arrive at the right decisions, which are critical for competitiveness and growth. I would like to thank these professionals for their enthusiastic response and active participation in the Big-Data Forum, which proved to be an enlightening experience for everyone.”

During the sessions, the leaders of Pakistan’s financial sector and corporate-finance chiefs were enlightened on; how mobile devices and social computing are causing an explosion in data and connectedness of the cloud, to enable more innovation.

The speakers shared many examples of how finance leaders are driving business results through ingenious use of Information Technology (I.T.). Powerful new data-technologies from Microsoft are facilitating the enterprises to realign their corporate strategies, nurture creative thinking and a culture of innovation, through collaborative endeavors between management and I.T. professionals.
