Upaisa donation service to Shaukat Khanum

Upaisa has collaborated with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) and made its services available for people who wish to make donations to the Hospital at a time when funds are needed for the construction of Pakistan’s second SKMCH&RC in Peshawar.
With the launch of this new and innovative donation collection service, people will now be able to make donations directly through any Upaisa retail outlet available in their vicinity along with their mobile wallets. This will provide an opportunity for everyone to donate to this noble cause with the utmost convenience.

This ceremony was attended by Mr. Syed Umar Viqar (Head of Operations – Ubank), Mr. Amir Pasha (Head of PR- Ufone) and Mr. Noman Azhar (Head of Financial Services – Ufone). Speaking about this new initiative, Mr. Noman Azhar said that, “Providing innovative and efficient technology-based solutions to the industry, besides making contribution to the society is the core of our business values, which is well reflected in our collaboration with Shaukat Khanum. Now, anyone wishing to donate to the Hospital will be able to do so without any hassle and in a most user-convenient way.”
Dr. Faisal Sultan, CEO Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital expressed his views saying that, “Upaisa has made a valuable contribution to the Hospital, as well as the society by introducing this new and efficient service, making it easier for people to donate. This is really the essence of CSR to use your core strength to benefit the larger society.”

This new facility follows up on Upaisa’s previous CSR initiatives which have also focused on the company leveraging its technology leadership to bring about positive socio-economic change. With this new facility, people will be able to make donations by just visiting any one of the 25,000 Upaisa outlets located throughout the country.
