Easypaisa, Pakistan’s leading mobile financial service has been nominated in two categories of the prestigious GSMA Global Mobile Awards – 2014. “It is a great honor for Easypaisa to be nominated for the highest tribute in the industry,” said Yahya Khan, Chief Financial Services Officer for Telenor Pakistan. “Our nomination in these two categories is evident that our initiative to promote financial services through reliable cellular services is being recognized internationally. It is a tremendous achievement and I would like to thank all our partners and our customers for making Easypaisa the third largest mobile money service in the world.”

Speaking of the nomination, Nadeem Hussain, CEO and President Tameer Bank said, “Our successful innovative business model has extended branchless banking to not only the unbanked population but also the corporate and government sectors as well. Easypaisa is progressing by leaps and we will work harder to maintain our stature with the nation’s pride and integrity.”

This year’s Global Mobile Awards are to be held on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress event organized by GSMA, the global organization for all telecom companies in the world.
