Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili Monday inaugurated the Online Information Centre established in the central library of the University in collaboration with SAARC Documentation Centre, New Delhi.
According to a University spokesman, the establishment of Online Information Centre will help in acquiring the required data regarding information and technology in the SAARC countries.
The inauguration of the Centre was followed by five-day workshop on library science, information technology and digital data in which one hundred library professionals from SAARC countries are taking part.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor Mehran University said that establishment of the centre and organising of workshop will help the library professionals of the country to update themselves and adopt latest technology for utilising human resources. Admission to four-month CSS/ PCS Coaching classes will start from January 13, 2014. The classes commence on February 3 at evening time at Sindh University Model School Hyderabad, said Incharge Director CSS/ PCS Information Center University of Sindh (SU) in a statement here Monday. The management of University of Sindh Jamshoro has displayed the 2nd updated list for admissions to Bachelors Degree Programme 2014 in different categories.
A university spokesman said in a statement that the categories in which admissions have been granted included Quota Oriented, General Disciplines (Jurisdiction and Upper Sindh), Female Quota, Commerce Quota, Sindh University Employees Quota, Affiliated College Quota, Disabled Quota, Evening Programme and Self Finance Scheme.
The selected candidates for admissions to Bachelors Degree Programme can deposit their admission fee up to January 7, 2014.
