PTCL holds breast cancer prevention and awareness seminar

To create awareness amongst its employees, Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) organized a seminar on ‘Prevention of Breast Cancer’ at S A Siddiqui auditorium in the PTCL Head Quarters premises.

Dr. Shazia Yousaf, Consultant Oncologist Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad was specially invited by PTCL to speak at the occasion. Breast Cancer is the leading cause of death among females and early diagnosis and treatment can prevent loss of precious lives.

“We believe that our employees are our most precious asset”, said Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) HR, Syed Mazhar Hussain, speaking at the occasion. “Our HR policies are geared towards creating a better future for our dedicated workforce”

Addressing the seminar, Dr. Shazia Yousaf said that breast cancer is preventable if diagnosed at an early stage. Women can check for the symptoms themselves through a simple process. Dr. Shazias pecially appreciated PTCL for providing health care information and awareness about breast cancer and preventive measures.

Breast Cancers Awareness has also been given to female employees at all PTCL Medical Centers across Pakistan by PTCL lady doctors.
