PTCL EVO honored as consumers’ favorite broadband service

ISLAMABAD (PAKISTAN)

Following PTA’s recent recognition of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) as Pakistan’s best Broadband Internet service provider in 2011, the telecom giant has now won the 2012 Consumer Choice Award as the ‘Best Wireless Broadband’ Internet service provider.

Organized last week by the Consumers Association of Pakistan’s (CAP) in Karachi, the 7th Annual Consumer Choice Awards honored PTCL EVO as the ‘2012 Best Wireless Broadband’ brand of Pakistan. PTCL stood tall amongst 85 business awards presented in various commercial categories ranging from financial services to FMCG to telecommunications.

In a glittering ceremony attended by representatives of Pakistan’s leading national and international brands, Sindh Minister for Information Technology, Mr. Raza Haroon, presented the award to PTCL Senior Executive Vice President Business Zone South, Mr. Furqan Habib Qureshi.

Also present on the occasion were Speaker Sindh Assembly, Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro; Business Leaders, Mr. S. M. Munir, Main Zahid Husain; and Chairman CAP, Mr. Kaukab Iqbal.

“The Consumers Choice Award is one of the most recognized and prestigious event of the country’s business calendar,” said PTCL SEVP Commercial, Naveed Saeed on the occasion. “PTCL EVO has been winning this award each time. It is a bold testament of our customers’ firm faith, trust and confidence in our ability to deliver what we promise unlike anyone else, which makes us stand out amongst all players.”

PTCL has Pakistan’s largest and fastest growing 3G EVDO wireless broadband network, with connectivity and roaming in nearly 200 cities.
