In its weekly inflation report, the PBS stated that during the past week, the prices of 23 essential items increased, 4 declined, while 24 remained unchanged.
The report noted that tomato prices surged by 46.03% and flour by 25.41%, while onions rose by 8.57% and broken rice by 2.62%. Similarly, garlic, potatoes, and mung lentils also became more expensive. In contrast, the prices of bananas, diesel, and sugar fell compared to the previous week.
