Under the order of Honorable High Court, the Minister of State for IT Mrs. Anusha Rahman convened a meeting of a committee of the technical experts constituted by the Lahore High Court to evolve a joint strategy for blocking controversial content over Youtube. Federal Secretary IT Mr. Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar, Additional Sectary Mr. Amzat Ali Ranjha. Chairman PTA Dr. Ismail Shah, Member Telecom Mr. Muddasir Hussain, panel of IT experts, representatives of Attorney General’s office and petitioner of the instant petition along with its learned counsel were also present in the meeting.
The issue was discussed at length and available options were considered which will be submitted before the Honorable court in the form of a report on the next date of hearing. Minister added.
