Three personalities are in the run
ning for the post of Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) chairman, sources confirmed Monday.Incumbent PTA Chairman Dr Muhammad Yasin’s tenure is due to end on July 22. According to various telecom circles, the names being considered for the post include Pemra Chairman Dr Abdul Jabbar, Telecom Authority Member Technical Dr Khawar Khokhar and Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication Member Law Kamran Ali.A summary of the candidates’ profiles has been sent to the Prime Minister’s House in this regard.
