Minister of state for IT & Telecom Mrs. Anusha Rehman has directed ICT R&D fund company’s authorities to gear up their efforts for establishment of first state of the art National incubation center which is direly needed for capacity building of our young entrepreneurs and start ups. She stated this while chairing 45th Board of Directors meeting of National ICT R&D fund Company here in Islamabad today. Federal Secretary IT Mr.Rizwan Bashir khan, Acting CEO ICT R&D Fund Co, Syed Ismael Shah, Member telecom Mudassar Hussain, Member HR Tahir Mushtaq, MD PSEB Asim Shehr Yar and other board members were also present in the Meeting.
Anusha Rehman further said that young entrepreneurs are the nation’s biggest asset and it’s our obligation to provide them a National platform for practical training through an appropriate policy measure. Therefore we have decided to establish a state of the art National incubation centre.
Syed Ismael Shah acting CEO of the company informed the Board that RFP for National Incubation Center has already floated and 27th April has been fixed as cutoff date for submission of the bids. Subsequently, technical and financial evaluation of received bids will be carried out and Contract will be awarded to the successful bidder after fulfilling all procedural and codal formalities.

Prime Minister’s National ICT Internship program was also discussed in the board meeting.

Minister also directed ICT Company that monitoring and evolution mechanism to check the milestones of solicited projects should be made more effective and result oriented.
