The Minister of State for IT & Telecom Mrs. Anusha Rahman said that local manufacturing of mobile handsets is our utmost priority so that each individual in Pakistan could enjoy the benefits of advancement in telecom sector by having locally made Smartphone in cheap and affordable price. She stated this while talking to the Chief Executive Officer China Mobile Mr. Liudian Fang who called on the Minister here in her office today.
Anusha Rehman requested Chine Mobile to facilitate local manufacturing of handsets in Pakistan by introducing to Chinese vendors the “Concessionary Tax Regime” recently introduced by the Government of Pakistan in the finance bill 2015-16 for setting up local manufacturing of mobile handsets in the country.
She also said that its primary focus of the Government of Pakistan to ensure that any concerns of the investors are addressed on a priority.
