Chairs meeting to review strategy for continuation of GSP Plus status

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting to review the strategy for continuing the GSP Plus status.
Secretary Commerce gave a detailed presentation, apprising the Committee about the steps taken by the Government to meet the criteria prescribed by the European Union (EU) for continuation of GSP Plus status. He also shared details relating to the recent visit of the EU Review Mission to Pakistan.
Ishaq Dar sought implementation status from all Federal and Provincial departments regarding their assigned tasks to meet the criteria for GSP Plus status. He further directed all the concerned to implement government policies in letter and spirit for the continuation of GSP Plus status.
The Meeting was attended by Ministers of Law & Commerce; SAPM Tariq Bajwa; Federal Secretaries of Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Human Rights, Law, Climate Change and Overseas Pakistanis; other heads of Federal and Provincial Departments and senior government officials, including Pakistan Embassy in Brussels which attended the meeting via Zoom.
