Digital Pakistan Act gives legal protection to our digital vision: Shaza Fatima

The Ministry of IT enjoys full support from the Prime Minister’s Office, SIFC, and the Federal Cabinet, she said while addressing the National Security Workshop.

Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that the Digital Pakistan Act provides legal protection and strength to our digital vision. Addressing the 27th National Security Workshop held in Islamabad, she said that the Ministry of IT has the full support of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and the Federal Cabinet.

She said that Pakistan’s digital sector is a fundamental pillar of economic security, strategic strength, and global competitiveness. Digital governance, AI, and cybersecurity are decisive sectors for Pakistan’s future. We are continuously strengthening our cyber resilience.

She added that under the leadership of the Field Marshal, the armed forces, government institutions, and the private sector united on one platform during the war. The Ministry of IT, PTA, the forces, and private experts also worked together to strengthen cyber defense.

Shaza Fatima further stated that Google’s decision to open an office in Pakistan is a major development for the tech sector, and that cloud infrastructure is the foundation of Pakistan’s digital future. She said that our goal is to transition all aspects of citizens’ lives into a comprehensive digital environment.
