The United States has expressed its desire for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.
The US State Department stated that Kashmir is a direct dispute between Pakistan and India.
According to the US, if mediation is offered on the Kashmir conflict, Washington is willing to consider it. The issue can be resolved through dialogue, and the US has already assisted in facilitating the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
The State Department also expressed gratitude to Pakistan for the handover of terrorists, noting that the extradition of the terrorist who killed American citizens was a positive beginning for bilateral relations.
The US further said that it is seeking to advance its interests with both India and Pakistan, adding that Washington’s relationships with the two countries are of a different nature.
The State Department also confirmed that the US is exploring investment opportunities in Reko Diq.
