IHC stops Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri working as IHC judge

Islamabad High Court has stopped Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri working as judge of the Islamabad High Court till the decision of the complaint filed against him in Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).
Two-member bench of IHC headed by Chief Justice IHC Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and comprising Justice Muhammad Azam Khan heard the petition filed by Mian Dawood Advocate. The court heard the petition along with the objections of the Registrar IHC. The complainant did not appear before the bench.
Former attorney general Ashtar Ausaf Ali and former SAPM Barrister Zafrullah Khan have been appointed as amicus curie in the case. The court has also directed Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan to assist the court regarding the maintainability of the application.
Meanwhile the duty roster of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri has been revised and cases being heard by him have been delisted.
