ICCI Organizes Awareness Session on Digital Invoicing & FBR Integration

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), in collaboration with the Regional Tax Office (RTO) Islamabad, organized an awareness and training session titled “Understanding Digital Invoicing & FBR Integration” at the ICCI premises. The event was attended by a large number of ICCI executives, members, and representatives from trade and industry who sought clarity on the new invoicing integration mechanism introduced by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Senior Vice President ICCI Abdul Rehman Siddiqui delivered the welcome address, appreciating the initiative as a timely step towards digitizing the tax ecosystem and enhancing transparency in business transactions. He emphasized the need for continued awareness efforts to ensure smooth compliance and minimize disruptions. He assured the business community that ICCI would continue to play its proactive role in facilitating reforms that support ease of doing business.

Assistant Commissioner Income Tax, RTO Islamabad Osama Abbasi, delivered a detailed presentation explaining that the core objective of the entire exercise is ease of doing business and provision of level playing field to all the stakeholders for the prosperity of the country. He added that all the corporate entities and companies involved in importing, manufacturing, or distributing fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) are now required to integrate their hardware and software with the FBR’s computerized system.

Manager Training PRAL, Mohammad Umair Siddique Khan, briefed the participants on the integration process and addressed practical concerns.

A productive Q&A session followed, during which participants’ queries were addressed to their satisfaction by the concerned officials. The session was moderated efficiently by Mian Muhammad Ramazan, former Executive Member of ICCI.

Those prominent among the participants included executive members Irfan Chaudhry, Sanaullah Khan, Ishaq Sial, Naveed Satti and ICCI Preisdent’s advisor Naeem Siddiqui.

The session reflected ICCI’s ongoing commitment to informing and empowering the business community through meaningful engagement and collaboration with key government institutions.
