“Don’t stay behind the scenes, come forward and talk,” Aleema Khan again indicates willingness for negotiations

Aleema Khan, sister of Imran Khan, has once again expressed willingness for dialogue, stating: “Don’t stay behind the scenes, come forward and talk.”
Speaking to the media while on her way to meet the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan said that the PTI founder is ready for talks and is even prepared for a give-and-take approach.
She said, “What has our brother done to you? Tell us what the PTI founder should give up so that you will release him? Don’t hide behind the scenes — sit down and talk with us directly. Secretive talks won’t work anymore.”
Aleema Khan added, “If PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has good news, then he should share it with us too. Ask Barrister Gohar why he said the founder would be released on the 5th.”
The PTI founder’s sister also said that the party will launch a nationwide protest campaign. She conveyed that the founder of PTI has given a clear message: he will not call anyone to Islamabad, because snipers are positioned there.
She stated that the PTI founder has instructed preparations for a protest movement and has said that he is keeping an eye on everything. “PTI is the name of an ideology. There is no room in the party for those who try to play on both sides of the pitch,” she added.
Aleema Khan further shared that the PTI founder complained he isn’t being granted even the basic rights afforded to ordinary prisoners. “In the past 8 months, he has only been allowed to speak to his children once, and he is not being allowed to meet his sisters. What kind of law is this, that even court orders for family meetings are being ignored?”
