Nokia boosts TDC NET’s connectivity in Denmark with upgraded IP core network

ESPOO, FINLAND (WEB DESK)

Nokia today announced its IP routing solutions have been deployed by TDC NET, Denmark’s largest digital infrastructure company, to scale capacity for the fixed and mobile networks provider’s nationwide IP core backbone.

TDC NET deployed Nokia’s 7750 SR-s routers, which are powered by its ground-breaking FP5 routing silicon, a critical enabler for building higher-capacity IP networks that consume 75 percent less power than previous generations. The FP5’s future-ready 800GE capability will accelerate TDC NET’s ability to meet current and future traffic growth sustainably and at lower cost, underscoring TDC NET’s commitment to become net-zero by 2030.

Jakob Dirksen, CTO at TDC NET, said: “Being the first company in the world with an SBTI validated net-zero target for 2030, TDC NET has embarked on an extremely ambitious journey. We are committed to shaping the future of Denmark’s digital infrastructure by delivering sustainable and future-proof connections to our customers. As consumer and business demands for speed and range increase, we turned to Nokia and its technology innovations to keep us one step ahead, enabling us to expand our network and improve connections to all Danish service providers for the best possible customer experience.”

Vach Kompella, Vice President, IP Networks Division at Nokia, said: “We are pleased to work with TDC NET to support its strategic priorities. Nokia’s IP routing solutions offer best in class scalability and efficiency, enabling TDC NET to sustainably manage their growth initiatives as they continue delivering the exceptional experience their customers count on both now and in the future.”
