Eidul Azha is being celebrated with religious fervor

Eidul Azha is being celebrated today (Wednesday) with religious fervor to commemorate the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismael (AS).

The day dawned with special prayers in mosques for well-being of the Ummah and progress, prosperity and security of the country.

Congregational prayers were held across the country to mark the religious festival, along with sermons highlighting the significance of the event and the philosophy behind sacrifice.

Security arrangements were beefed up across the country during the occasion.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi offered Eid prayers in Multan, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani in Quetta, Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah in Sehwan Sharif, CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan in Peshawar while CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan offered prayers in Quetta.
