In a recent development in the telecom industry, a major news is breaking – PTCL and Ufone are finally going to merge.
According to a variety of sources it has been revealed to TelecoAlert.com that both companies are finally going forward with the merger that was on the books for a long time. 
It is expected that in the coming weeks, a board meeting is going to reveal the official plans for the merger along with the possible announcement for a single CEO for both companies. If so, this will be the first actual step towards the merging of both entities. There are strong chances that Rashid Khan who is currently the CEO of Ufone will be named the joint CEO of both companies.
