ECP constitutes internet voting task force

ISLAMABAD (MEDIA REPORT)

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has constituted an ‘Internet Voting Task Force’ for the conduct of third party evaluation and technical audit of the software, developed by NADRA for voting by Overseas Pakistanis.

The Task Force will assess the automated system for eligible Pakistani voters living abroad having National Identity Cards and valid machine readable Pakistani passport. Chief Executive of a Dubai-based IT company will be convener of the Task Force which includes six members from Government and private sectors. Its members include DG Law ECP, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board and representatives of KPK IT Board Peshawar, NUST, LUMS and IBA, Karachi. The Task Force will submit its report along with the recommendations.
