Illegal Exchanges Raided in Lahore, Kohat, Larkana and Chaman

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in its ongoing efforts to control grey trafficking has conducted 16 successful raids in different areas of Lahore, Kohat, Larkana and Chaman.
According to details, a successful raid against the grey operators was carried out along with FIA team at Faisal Town Lahore and 10 illegal VoIP gateways alongwith 136 ports and allied equipment such as laptop, switches, SIMs were confiscated. A persons was also arrested.
Second raid was carried out at Kohat and 2 illegal gateways alongwith 16 port and 32 SIMs were confiscated. Third raid was conducted at Larkana where 4 illegal gateways, 32 ports, SIMs, Network switch and laptop were confiscated. In fourth raid at Chaman near Afghan Broder 4 illegal gateways were confiscated whereas 2 persons were arrested from the spot. All arrested persons were in custody of FIA for interrogation.
The successful raids against the grey operators were made possible because of continuous monitoring, commitment and persistent efforts by PTA in curbing the menace of grey traffic thus curtailing the loss to the national exchequer because of grey traffickers in the country.
